What is climate change?
Climate includes patterns of temperature, precipitation, humidity, wind and seasons. "Climate change" affects more than just a change in the weather, it refers to seasonal changes over a long period of time. These climate patterns play a fundamental role in shaping natural ecosystems, and the human economies and cultures that depend on them.
Because so many systems are tied to climate, a change in climate can affect many related aspects of where and how people, plants and animals live, such as food production, availability and use of water, and health risks.
For example, a change in the usual timing of rains or temperatures can affect when plants bloom and set fruit, when insects hatch or when streams are their fullest. This can affect historically synchronized pollination of crops, food for migrating birds, spawning of fish, water supplies for drinking and irrigation, forest health, and more.
Some short-term climate variation is normal, but longer-term trends now indicate a changing climate. A year or two of an extreme change in temperature or other condition doesn’t mean a climate change trend has been "erased.”
Worldwide, people are paying serious attention to climate change. In Washington state, climate change is already disrupting our environment, economy and communities. We can help slow it down, but we must take action now.

My reaction
Since elementary days , maybe, some of you like me, always heard about how to manage proper segregation of waste materials, plant more trees, burning garbage and etc. We keep on hearing same teachings and reminders inside and outside the school but we never tend to learn how to do it properly. I don’t know if we are just too lazy or we just don’t give a care about it. As years passed, out of concern, we didn’t notice that our environment suffers from our wrong acts. Climates have changed considerably during the earths history. It was being shown by the past study, thorough the record of rocks and fossils. Several theories have been advanced to explain climatic change overtime. There are many factors that affects climate, yet for me, man has the ability to influence climate change. As I observed, the climates of cities differ from the climates of surrounding areas. Why do you think it is like this???
Since through the years, human have made many changes in the environment. They have cut down trees and planted crops in their place. The fast growing population has something to do with the environment. The more people dwell in a certain area, the more houses and buildings are needed to be and salts beds into both residential and commercial areas. And because of the globalization being made more industrial plants were being built. Industrial plants fill the air with smoke and dangerous chemicals, pollute the lakes and streams with waste and toxic by products, and wear out or damage parts of the surrounding land. In short, human inventions brought about progress, but destroyed the natural environment. These environmental problems have endangered not only humans, but also most of other living creatures. Through they say that every project was approved by the DENR ,still we to face the disadvantages of these so called environmental problems. To pinpoint some of these nvironmental abuse and serious forms of pollution, there is the climate change. Climate change, the term is used to refer specifically caused by human activity, as opposed to changes in climate change that may have resulted as part of Earths natural processes, and the differentiation of these two causes, human impact vs. natural resources is a key component of the climate change debate. But there’s no to debate in this two causes because we live in an ecosystem where in we are interdependent. People do not always have control over their environment as some changes are brought about our activities. A basic concept in a sustainable society is conversation--- a strategy to reduce the use of resources and energy through decreased demand and increased efficiency. One of the most effective ways conserving resources and energy is by recycling. It may seem that these examples are radical in nature but in fact, they are leading towards a simpler, more reliable , and more efficient way of living. Sustainable living is not an activity that is to be done a certain timetable, rather it is a way of life all us can and must adhere to.
So, even though it sounds irritating, always put in our mind that “Nasa Sa Atin ang Kaligtasan ni Inang Kalikasan”. We should help each other, we do our part an not just to rely all the responsibilities to our environmentalist who are seeking ways in which human can live and prosper without damaging the environment for future generations. I hope that we are learning from the calamities that we are experiencing right now.
